澳大首位應用物理及材料工程學博士誕生

澳門大學應用物理及材料工程研究所(IAPME)博士研究生姚玲敏成功通過了博士論文答辯,成為IAPME自2014年成立以來,首位哲學博士(應用物理及材料工程)畢業生。

姚玲敏的博士論文答辯題目為“高取向鈦酸基陣列的合成以及在納米複合介電儲能的應用”,獲論文答辯評審委員會一致好評。其指導老師為時任講座教授程海東。姚玲敏於在學首年順利完成所有課業後,往上海同濟大學與該校教授翟繼衛進行研究合作,開啟兩年往返滬澳兩地的課題研究生活。期間,她進行開創性實驗設計,成功合成出“高度取向生長的鈦酸鋇基陣列”,首次將該鈦酸鋇基陣列應用於高儲能密度的介電儲能領域。另外,姚玲敏於澳大從事研究工作期間,已發表了兩篇高影響因子的SCI 論文。

由於姚玲敏在攻讀博士研究生期間具有傑出表現,畢業後她便隨即獲廣州大學聘為助理教授。這標誌著澳門大學應用物理及材料工程研究所人才培養模式的成功。

 

Birth of the First PhD Graduate in Applied Physics and Materials Engineering at the University of Macau

After having passed the PhD thesis oral defence successfully, Dr. Linming Yao, a student of the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering (IAPME), became the first PhD Graduate in Applied Physics and Materials Engineering since the establishment of IAPME in 2014.

The PhD thesis title of Dr. Yao is “Novel design of highly oriented titanate-based nanorod array and its application in nanocomposite capacitors”.  Her oral defence was well-presented and the panel has given positive comments unanimously.  Her supervisor was Prof. Haydn H. D. Chen, a then Chair Professor of IAPME.  Dr. Yao finished all her coursework in the first year of study.  After that, she went to Tongji University in Shanghai, where she worked with Prof. Jiwei Zhai’s research team.  Since then, she has started her two-year research journey between Macao and Shanghai.  Dr. Yao’s research focused on the synthesis of composites for energy harvesting and high energy density in capacitor. A new structure, barium titanate-based nanorod array, was successfully designed. Using the nanorods as fillers and PVDF as matrix, she has created a powerful electrical energy storage device.  During her PhD study period, she has published two SCI papers in journals with high impact factor.

The demonstration of outstanding research competence during the study period has earned Dr. Yao a post of assistant professor in Guangzhou University soon after her graduation.  This has confirmed the successful talent nurturing model of IAPME.
